The contribution of WooCommerce to WordPress should also be mentioned here. According to W3Techs, WooCommerce is used by 12.0% of all the websites whose content management systems are known. This is 7.4% of all websites.

Some of the popular sites using WordPress are Zoom, Microsoft, Udemy.com, Zillow.com, Tokopedia.com and Grammarly.com. The websites of Tripadvisor, Cambridge University Press, and la Republica have been developed recently in WordPress too.

The second-most popular CMS after WordPress is Shopify. It is also the second-fastest-growing system. The third-place goes to Bitrix which surprisingly recorded a growth rate of 24% in 2020.

Well, it seems WordPress is firmly set on a path to conquer greater heights in 2021. WordPress.com has already announced the launch of its new website building service starting at $4,900. Let’s hope 2021 turns out to be another fascinating year for WordPress.
