After years of growing and evolving, Do the Woo, originally launched by Bob Dunn in 2016 as a WooCommerce-focused podcast, is stepping into a new chapter with a fresh rebrand, now known as OpenChannels.fm. What began as a WooCommerce-focused show has now grown into a broader platform covering WordPress, open source, Fediverse, and the open web.
From Do the Woo to OpenChannels.fm: Why The Rebrand
The rebrand highlights the podcast’s broader focus, expanding from WooCommerce to WordPress, open source, the Open Web, and platforms like the Fediverse, as stated, “ The new name better reflects the podcast’s expanded content and mission. What started out focusing on WooCommerce has grown to cover a wider range of topics, including WordPress, open source, the Open Web, and platforms like the Fediverse.”
The rebrand doesn’t mark the end of the Do the Woo as highlighted, “ The original “Do the Woo” isn’t disappearing—it’ll remain as one of five core shows within the new “openchannels fm” umbrella, but with a tighter focus on WooCommerce.”
The five core shows mentioned above are as below:
Besides the five core shows, there are several more individual series, such as DevPulse, Woo Product Chat, WP Agency Tracks, and more. Currently, there are 30 regular hosts, and they have interviewed over 530+ guests.
