WooCommerce has introduced Reddit for WooCommerce, a new integration that gives merchants a streamlined way to reach Reddit’s large base of users. The integration allows WooCommerce’s four million–plus stores to connect directly with Reddit Ads. Once enabled, merchants can quickly set up campaigns, automatically deploy the Reddit Pixel and Conversions API, and sync their product catalog on an ongoing basis to keep listings updated.
What the Reddit Integration Does and Why It??s Important
Through Reddit Ads Manager, sellers can use their WooCommerce catalog to create dynamic product ads and conversion-focused campaigns. The goal is to help merchants tap into Reddit communities where users compare products, share reviews, and seek recommendations.
Reddit’s Head of SMB Product, Harish Balasubramanian, said the partnership aims to simplify advertising for time-pressed ecommerce businesses, “This partnership is about increasing speed and reducing technical burden for time-crunched ecommerce merchants on WooCommerce. We are introducing this integration so that WooCommerce’s thriving community of small-to-medium-sized ecommerce businesses can reach Reddit’s 100,000+ communities…”
WooCommerce said the partnership supports its broader mission of making advertising channels easier to adopt, while also giving merchants access to Reddit’s trust-based product discovery ecosystem. Aleks Hardt, GM of Strategic Partnerships at Woo, said, “ This partnership represents exactly what we strive for at Woo — removing barriers so merchants of all sizes can access powerful new advertising channel. Reddit has built a uniquely trust-based environment for product discovery, and it’s clear that this quickly growing ad platform unlocks major growth potential for brands.”
Previously, WooCommerce had announced a new integration with Snapchat, which allows merchants to sync their product catalogs, enable one-click conversion tracking, and create dynamic, shoppable ads directly through Snapchat Ads Manager.
