- The Plugin Directory gets a refresh: The Plugin Directory has been updated with a new theme and according to Nick Diego the update’s primary focus was to standardize the site’s layout, fonts, spacing, and colors with other newly updated sections of WordPress.org.

- DeepL Write: New AI editor improves content quality: DeepL, the makers of the DeepL Translator, announced a new product called DeepL Write, an AI real-time editor that is powered by their own Large Language Model (LLM) that improves content at the draft stage, preserving the tone and voice of the writer.

- Arbitrary options update vulnerability patched in WP Datepicker WordPress plugin: This vulnerability could be used by authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to update arbitrary options which can easily be leveraged for privilege escalation was patched recently.
- Wordfence Intelligence Weekly WordPress Vulnerability Report (April 15, 2024 to April 21, 2024): There were 190 vulnerabilities disclosed in 155 plugins and 2 themes.
