Last week, Matt Mullenweg called Godaddy parasitic and an existential threat to WordPress. He later deleted his Tweets but the noise is yet to settle down.
Another news that grabbed attention is the misogyny prevailing in the WordPress community. WP community may be better but we still have got miles to go be perfect and inclusive.

- Arbitrary options update via Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability: Update the WordPress Jquery Validation for Contact Form 7 plugin to the latest available version (at least 5.3).
- Twitter apologizes for abusing user security information after $150 million FTC settlement: The social media giant admitted that users were asked to provide a phone number or email address to secure or authenticate their accounts for several years. Twitter then used that information for targeted advertising.
- Multiple backdoored Python libraries caught stealing AWS secrets and keys: Researchers have discovered a number of malicious Python packages in the official third-party software repository that are engineered to exfiltrate AWS credentials and environment variables to a publicly exposed endpoint.
- Google details commercial spyware that targets both Android and iOS devices: A distinct government and enterprise-grade iOS and Android spyware variant is now in active circulation. Victims have been located in Italy and Kazakhstan.
