- Gutenberg 14.1 has been released: It has an improved navigation block, and an experimental zoomed-out view.
- Heroku free tier being retired: Starting November 28, 2022,Heroku will stop offering free dynos and data services. If you are one of those free users, please make sure you make arrangements to either pay for the plan or replace your service.

- Twitter testing “WhatsApp Share” button in India: The feature, which was announced as a test, replaces the share button and provides the exact same functionality.
- Microsoft Ads unveils new smart campaign features: The most notable feature to the Smart Campaign update is its multi-platform capabilities. This new all-in-one feature is available only on Microsoft Ads, giving them a hefty competitive advantage over Google.
- Google expands eligibility for product rich results: Google expanded eligibility for Merchant Listing search experiences and product snippets through the use of structured data. Also Google ad extensions are being rebranded as assets
- Google, Meta fined $71.8M for violating privacy law in South Korea: The watchdog said in its statement that Google and Meta did not receive legitimate consent in the process of collecting information from users who visit their websites and use other websites as well as apps for customized advertisements.This is the largest penalty in South Korea for violating personal information protection laws
- Chrome uses interactive screenshots to speed up sites: Chrome now uses interactive screenshots, speeding up webpages by up to 20% with a technology called Freeze Dried Tabs.
- Web Push notifications coming to iOS: Web Push, a multi-standard notification service for time-sensitive and high-priority events will be available for Safari 16 on macOS Ventura in October.
- Instagram is testing a “Gifts” monetization feature for creators: The new creator monetization tool could replace Meta’s $1 Billion creator fund that’s set to end this year.
- Ethereum finally does ‘The Merge,’ staking its future on new algorithm: Ethereum has switched its entire main network over to proof-of-stake (PoS) in an event called “The Merge.” The event was billed as the largest and most complicated open-source software transition in history. The Ethereum network now claims a 99.9% reduction in energy consumption.

- Zero-Day vulnerability in WPGateway plugin actively exploited in the wild: The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to insert a malicious administrator. If you have the WPGateway plugin installed, remove it immediately until a patch is made available.

- Gambling Spam in Visual Composer Raw HTML Element: On occasion, hackers inject their links into Visual Composer as raw HTML snippets. From June 2022 to August 2022, this malware was found by SiteCheck on 509 websites.
- Notepad++ plugins allow attackers to infiltrate systems, achieve persistence: Threat actors may abuse Notepad++ plugins to circumvent security mechanisms and achieve persistence on their victim machine, new research from security company Cybereason suggests.
- Chrome 105 update patches high-severity vulnerabilities: Google announced the release of a Chrome 105 update that resolves 11 vulnerabilities, including seven high-severity bugs reported by external researchers.
- Uber apparently hacked by teen, employees thought it was a joke: The alleged hacker, who claims to be an 18-year old, says they have administrator access to company tools including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.
