  • News

Those who couldn’t attend the in-person event can now attend the online edition, Checkout Summit {Reloaded}, which takes place on May 7–8, 2026. It features the same lineup of 12 speakers from the in-person event, with each talk re-delivered in a format adapted for an online audience, along with two additional speakers added to the programme.

Rodolfo Melogli has also confirmed that Checkout Summit 2027 is happening, with dates to be announced soon.

Why Checkout Summit Decided To Have An Online Edition

Explaining the decision behind extending the conference online, Checkout Summit founder Rodolfo Melogli said the in-person event in Palermo was intentionally designed without recordings or live streams to preserve its value for attendees on site, “ So, as you know, we made a very deliberate choice this year. No recordings, no live streams. The goal is to keep everything really valuable for those coming to Palermo. “

He added that recent conversations with the wider community highlighted ongoing travel challenges for many, which ultimately led to the creation of the online edition, “ But over the past few weeks, I’ve been speaking with a lot of people, and right now, travel isn’t easy. Many people have had loads of problems. So I decided to do something about this, and drum rolls… “

On May the 7th and May the 8th, I’m running Checkout Summit Reloaded, which is a live online edition where all the talks come back, but not as recordings. So each speaker will rerun their talk live, tailored specifically for an online audience.

Clarifying the format of the online edition, Melogli stressed that Checkout Summit {Reloaded} will not rely on recorded sessions, but will instead feature speakers delivering their talks live once again for an online audience, “ On May the 7th and May the 8th, I’m running Checkout Summit Reloaded, which is a live online edition where all the talks come back, but not as recordings. So each speaker will rerun their talk live, tailored specifically for an online audience.”

Melogli noted that the live online edition is designed to be interactive, allowing attendees to watch sessions in real time, ask questions, speak with presenters, and connect with other participants, while also providing access to recordings after the event.

The two additional speakers for the online event are Matthias Reinholz ( Strategic Partnerships at Automattic), who will deliver “Goodbye plugins—building features for WooCommerce reliably with AI” and Bryce Adams, founder of Metorik, presenting “ WooCommerce Data, AI, and What’s Next—A Live Chat”. The full list of speakers is as follows:
