- The benefits of prioritizing and measuring performance in WordPress 6.2: Felix Arntz, a WordPress core committer has published a detailed report on the performance gains achieved with WordPress 6.2. The current version loads 14-18% faster overall for block themes and 2-5% faster overall for classic themes.
- We need to improve block support for classic themes: WordPress core team member Carolina Nymark advocates improving the user experience while using block features with a classic theme.
- Google Ads is testing a gold verification badge: Google seems to be following the path of Twitter when it comes to badges. Few users have reportedly seen new badges next to ads.
- Google Ads API has undergone a few changes: The v13_1 release of the Google Ads API has introduced five new changes which will result in the users needing to update the client libraries and the client code.
- Google to allow exporting data from Universal Analytics till July 1, 2024: Google has published the various methods for exporting historical data and also made it clear that the data collection will end on July 1, 2023.
- New ways to manage your data in ChatGPT: Users can now disable chat history and also export the data. They are also working on a new ChatGPT Business subscription for professionals.
- Italy lifts ban on ChatGPT: OpenAI has addressed the privacy concerns and is now fully compliant with privacy rules which resulted in lifting the ban imposed on ChatGpt a month ago.
- Twitter to allow media publishers to charge per article: The next update that will be seen on Twitter will hopefully improve the revenue generation for media publishing houses. Instead of opting for a monthly subscription users can now pay for the articles they are interested in at a higher rate.
