- WordPress 6.0.1 maintenance update released: WordPress 6.0.1 contains 13 bug fixes in Core and 18 bug fixes for the Block Editor.
- Gutenberg 13.7.0 RC1 released: Please help test it.
- WordPress Themes Directory adds Block Themes to Filter Menu: Meta contributors added a new “Block Themes” menu item to the filter menu on the directory homepage, a solution that some classic theme developers fought tooth and nail to discourage.
- WordPress Themes Team contributors get pushback on Proposal to Improve Block Themes’ Visibility in the Directory: Starting with WordPress theme developer and Themes Team contributor Dumitru Brinzan commented with strong opposition to the idea of promoting block themes.

- WordPress Performance Team proposes adding Persistent Object Cache and Full Page Cache to Site Health Checks: This proposal seeks to integrate two new Site Health checks for Persistent Object Cache and Full Page Cache into WordPress core, targeting the WordPress 6.1 release
- WordPress Performance Team is working on a module for SVG uploads: They are first aiming to allow users to upload SVG files without scripts and provide an SVG preview in the Media Library and have identified WordPress 6.2 as a realistic goal for proposing the module for core.
- Google adds 4 new features for Performance Max campaigns: The new features are Seasonality adjustments, Data exclusions, Explanations, and Optimization Score.
- Google launches Ad Creative Studio: The new feature allows advertisers to change ads aimed at multiple audiences and demographics dynamically.
- Google My Business mobile app has stopped functioning forever: This was expected when Google rebranded from Google My Business to Google Business Profile last November. Google had told us then that the Google My Business app will be retired completely in 2022.
- Google Analytics 4 has three new metrics: The new metrics added are Bounce rate, UTM term and UTM ad content & Conversion rate.
- An eSignature tool coming into Google Docs for its business users: the feature will work like a drag and drop, allowing you to add aspects, including signature and date signed to a Google Docs file.
- Twitter now lets you remove unwanted mentions: Twitter is rolling out a new feature called Unmentioning that will allow people to untag themselves from conversations.
- TikTok launches Inventory Filters for safe ad placements: The Inventory Filter provides brands with options to show or not show their content near brands or videos that aren’t similar.
- Instagram Subscriptions test adds 3 new features: The new features are now available to thousands of creators and will give them the ability to provide exclusive content to paid subscribers.

- Google confirms bug affecting ads & Analytics Reporting: Google Ads and Analytics are impacted by an ongoing issue affecting how data is reported.
- Mantis Botnet behind the largest HTTPS DDoS attack targeting Cloudflare customers: The most attacked industry verticals include internet and telecom, media, gaming, finance, business, and shopping.
- Microsoft Teams security vulnerability left users open to XSS via flawed stickers feature: The vulnerability was patched in March and the researcher was awarded a $6,000 bug bounty.

- WPLift.com sells for $160k: Daan Tol had acquired WPLift for $205k from Oliver Dale in 2016.
- Netflix, Microsoft partner for ad supported subscription plan: Microsoft announced that they had been selected as the new partner to help bring an ad-supported subscription plan to Netflix.
