- Google: HTTP/3 doesn’t impact SEO: Google Search Advocate John Mueller debunked a theory that the faster speed of HTTP/3 can directly impact a website’s SEO. He also said says that disavowing random links flagged by tools is not a good use of time.
- Google adds 2 new metrics to GA4 reports: ‘Views per session’ and ‘average session duration’ are now available in Explorations and Reporting Customization in GA4.
- Google: Links have less impact today than in the past: A Googler shared that backlinks have less impact as a ranking signal than it used to in the past.
- Google files lawsuit against company falsely promising Page 1 rankings: Google’s lawsuit alleges that a company called G Verifier scammed and harassed hundreds of Business Profile merchants.
- Google shut down Duplex on the Web: Google has shut down Duplex on the Web and has retired its web crawler, DuplexWeb-Google. It posted “Duplex on the Web is deprecated, and will no longer be supported as of December, 2022.”
