WordPress Campus Connect 2025 Udupi, the first-ever WordPress Campus Connect in South India, has kicked off successfully, bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals. The event, organized by the WordPress Udupi community, will be held from September 20 to November 22, 2025.
WordPress Campus Connect is a free, community-driven initiative aimed at college students eager to gain hands-on experience with WordPress, along with exploring various career opportunities. The program combines practical workshops, industry insights, and opportunities to engage with the open-source community.
Students Explore WordPress for the First Time
Over 500 participants from four partner colleges are expected to participate, with the first session already having been conducted at Shree Guru Sudhindra College, Bhatkal.
The session saw the participation of nearly 50 BCA students and it was their first time with WordPress. They also created their first one-page website, as highlighted, “ For many of the nearly 50 BCA students who joined us, this was their very first brush with WordPress. Watching them experiment, ask questions, and finally put together a complete one-page website from scratch was nothing short of inspiring.”
The first workshop by the WordPress Udupi Community was earlier held at SDM College, Ujre.
Call for Workshop Facilitators and Partner Colleges Remain Open
The WordPress Campus Connect Udupi 2025 application for the workshop facilitator is still open. If you are a WordPress developer, designer, blogger, educator, or tech enthusiast with WordPress experience, or a professional eager to share practical skills can apply to be a part of the initiative.
Workshop facilitators will deliver workshops, engage students, and help create a fun, interactive learning experience.
Applications are open for colleges interested in giving their students hands-on WordPress training, industry exposure, and networking opportunities. The deadline to apply is September 30, 2025.
