The WordPress Hosting Team has opened nominations for its 2026 Team Reps, as announced by Lucas Radke on October 1, 2025. Community members can nominate candidates who will replace the current reps, Zunaid Amin and Lucas Radke. Self-nominations are also welcome.
The Role
For 2026, the Hosting Team is seeking two to four Reps to share responsibilities, maintain continuity, and ensure coverage across time zones, as stated, “ We need multiple (2-4) Team Reps to cover each other and make sure the team is not led by a single individual. This allows responsibilities to be shared, ensures continuity, and helps provide coverage across different time zones.”
The team rep position requires a commitment of about three hours per week, which includes posting meeting agendas, hosting discussions, summarizing chats, and tracking team activities for quarterly updates.
The nomination window remains open until October 28, 2025, and the list of nominees will be published on October 29. Candidates will have until November 4 to confirm their participation. Voting will take place from November 5 to November 25, with results announced by December 3, 2025. The newly elected Team Reps will begin their term in January 2026.
