- Software Freedom Conservancy receives court ruling affirming GPL as both Copyright License and Contractual Agreement: The favorable ruling is in its right-to-repair lawsuit against Vizio, an American TV manufacturer that refused to provide the source code for software with copyleft licenses that it bundles with its products.
- Google launches tool for practicing job interviews: Google’s new Interview Warmup tool uses artificial intelligence to help users practice answering job interview questions in various fields. It also launched video health tools to help publisher monetization
- New mobile Google ad experiment puts favicon in-line with display URL: A new confirmed mobile Google Ads display experiment brings favicons next to the URL in a fashion comparable to organic results.
- Google criticizes Canada’s proposed “Link Tax”: Google has come out swinging against a law proposed by the Canadian government that would force the search engine to pay publishers for listing content.
- Facebook’s most widely viewed links dominated by spam: 30% of the top 20 most widely viewed links were generated through inauthentic behavior and spam.
- TikTok launches creator-crediting feature: TikTok users will now be able directly tag and credit video creators using a button in the social media app. TikTok also launched Branded Mission for brands to source content directly from creators without going through an agency.

- Backdoor found in the School Management Pro plugin: the vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary PHP code on sites with the plugin installed. Update to version 9.9.7 or later immediately as it is a critical security issue.
- Critical privilege escalation vulnerability in Jupiter and JupiterX premium themes: The vulnerability allowed any user to become an administrator.
- Protecting Android users from 0-Day attacks: Details of three campaigns that used the popular Predator spyware, developed by the North Macedonian firm Cytrox, to target Android users.
- JSON vulnerabilities in Strapi open the door to hackers and data theft: The two vulnerabilities, named CVE-2022-30617 and CVE-2022-30618, are described as sensitive data exposure vulnerabilities that may lead to account compromise in the admin panel of Strapi.
