The WP Community Collective (WPCC), in collaboration with GoDaddy, has launched the 2025 Contributor Day Table Lead Appreciation Campaign, a new initiative aimed at spotlighting the volunteers who help run Contributor Days at WordCamps. The effort focuses on acknowledging the 2025 Table Leads, the individuals who guide and support contributors during these dedicated contribution sessions.
Honoring the Contribution of Table Leads in 2025
Contributor Day Table Leads are central to these events, serving as mentors and coordinators for contributors of all levels. According to the announcement, they are “the folks who guide, mentor, troubleshoot, and encourage their teams, who strive to help every new contributor find a place to belong and every returning contributor to feel valued.”
The campaign will run throughout the week, and during this period, WPCC will feature Table Leads from the three flagship WordCamps of the year, WordCamp Asia, WordCamp Europe, and WordCamp US, through daily shout-outs on its social platforms. These highlights aim to recognize the meaningful behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed but plays a key role in keeping WordPress development active.
As part of the campaign, WPCC will also offer stipends to Table Leads who pay their own way to attend or participate in Contributor Days. This financial support is described as “These stipends are a small, but tangible way to recognize the personal costs of contributing, and to affirm that every contributor’s time and labor have real value.”
Earlier, GoDaddy donated $500,000 to The WP Community Collective to help fund and support WordPress contributors, further underscoring its ongoing commitment to the open-source community.
Promotions are already underway on WPCC’s social channels, with daily shout-outs to 2025 Table Leads, and anyone who’s had a notable Contributor Day experience is invited to share it as highlighted, “ And if you have had a special Contributor Day experience, please share it with us! “
